What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect person data to help better understand my readers and customers, provide better content for the future and help bring a more unique experience of interacting with our brand online. We do not share your data with anyone, not even advertisers, and we also do not sell your data to any third parties. The data collected is used to identify you such as your name, IP address, and email address. Collecting this data happens in several different ways:
Purchasing a product: Your name, email, billing information, and payment source – To process a purchase you made and inform you of future products.
Comments: Name, email, and the comment – To identify the person making the comment, and optionally show their gravatar image linked with their online profile. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Subscribe: Your name and email – To send you monthly recap emails, special offers, additional freebies and/or new paid content you may be interested in.
We collect this information to learn from it. What products does our audience like, what types of topics do they learn the most from, what products do they want in the future, what area of the site could be designed better, what types of free resources would my audience enjoy the most, etc.
